Coldplay – The Scientist #1

Sometimes skipping ahead isn’t so bad – especially when you’re 3 months or so behind. I’m not a huge Coldplay fan, but; The Scientist is #1 on my top 40 for 2009. Understood not many of you have been following the top 40 journey (can’t blame you), but…I’m gonna dedicate this to the top few followers: Anoop (farewell civic), Braxton (thanks for .5 of the recommendations!), Andy (thanks for the another .25), and Linda…for always visiting. And I guess Bob, Dave, and Navin – but, nah. Harrish too…for letting me DJ and Mr. D’s bday. Pat too, I know you were waiting for #1. I’ll be around for 2011, I guess…

Adorable – Homeboy #6

Vapour Trail – Ride #7

Another oldie – but goodie.

Fake Plastic Trees – Radiohead #8

Best live show I’ve seen to date – Radiohead 2008 at the Hollywood Bowl.

Special Needs – Placebo #9

All is Full of Love – Björk #10

Found a few interesting facts on Wikipedia – such as: video is on permanent display at the MOMA, has won multiple awards, and was a source of inspiration for the movie iRobot (at least some people believe). What do you think?

Phantogram – Mouthful of Diamonds #11

Found this on indiemusicfilter.com as well. Phantogram recently played at Great Scott’s in Allston. Oh, We Were Promised Jetpacks plays Great Scott’s on Feb. 14.

Two Door Cinema Club – Undercover Martyn #12

It’s been awhile, huh? 12 more to go. Found this on indiemusicfilter.com. Have a good weekend.

The XX – VCR #13

If you haven’t checked out The XX – might be missing out. I found the entire CD easy listening from start to end.

Discovery – Osaka Loop Line #14
