In 1989 I moved from the States to Seoul, Korea. I started the 9th grade at Seoul International High School in SeongNam, just outside Seoul. Because of my interest in skateboarding I was quickly able to make new friends – who soon introduced me to Public Domain (a Powell Peralta video released in 1988). I’ve seen this particular scene close to 30 times. Skateboarding has changed dramatically in the past 20 years…just like everything else, I guess – hah.

Thanks for the video link Erik. Nic showed me this about a year ago. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the current generation of skaters; but, I think anyone might be able to enjoy this clip from ‘Fully Flared’ (directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans).
